
Aleksandrija Mitrovic won the triple jump gold at the Beograd Balkan Indoor Championships
Aleksandrija Mitrovic won the triple jump gold at the Beograd Balkan Indoor Championships. The Serbian athlete recorded 13.59m to win the gold in the event. The result was personal best of the European U20 Championships bronze medalist.
The fight for the gold was very tough, as Elena Andreea Talos (Romania) with 13.58m, just one centimeter less than the winner. Thus, the Romanian jumper remained with the silver. The bronze in the event was for Kadriye Dilek Dumus (Turkey) with 13.42m.
The Top 5 was completed by two more Serbian athletes – Natalija Dragojevic and Teodora Boberic, who jumped 13.21m and 13.13m, respectively.
In the men’s triple jump, Rustam Mammadov (Azerbaijan) won the gold with 16.30m. The silver was for Gor Hovakimyan (Armenia) with 16.10m and the bronze was for Can Ozupek (Turkey) with 16.09m.
