Armand Duplantis triumphed with another pole vault gold at the Monaco Diamond League, although without a new world record. The Swedish athlete finished in first place with a successful attempt at 6.05m, which not only brought him a victory but also a meeting record. Previously, Armand Duplantis overcame 5.62m and 5.92m. His attempts at 6.29m for a new world record were not successful.
Greek athlete Emmanouil Karalis ranked second with 5.92m, and Australian Kurtis Marschall remained third with the same result.
The Top 5 in the men’s pole vault was completed by Sam Kendricks (USA) and Renaud Lavillenie (France) both with 5.82m.
Armand Duplantis hold the world record of 6.28m, set at the Stockholm Diamond League on June 15, 2025. This is the 12th time he has broken the world record in his career, and the second time this year. He cleared the 6-meter high for 10 times this season and already won the Diamond League events at the Wanda Diamond League Xiamen, Yangtze River Delta Athletics Diamond Gala, Oslo Bislett Games, and BAUHAUS-Galan in Stockholm, as well as his third World Athletics Indoor title in Nanjing.
The next start of the Diamond League is on July 19 in London.
