Demario Prince won the men’s 110m hurdles gold at the XXIII Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

Jamaica’s athlete Demario Prince won the men’s 110m hurdles gold at the XXIII Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The 21-year-old hurdler triumphed with the title after clocking 13.17 sec.

“I’m very pleased with the win”, said Demario Prince after the race. “In the heats, I was all over the place and didn’t think I’d executed a good race, so I wanted to clean things up for the final. I’m happy with the result”, added he.

Demario Prince won the race ahead of Samuel Bennett (Great Britain) and Milan Trajkovic (Cyprus), who completed the podium at the Scotstoun Stadium. Samuel Bennett clocked 13.30 sec, while Milan Trajkovic clocked 13.32 sec.

The Top 5 was completed by Franco Le Roux and Tade Ojora, who narrowly missed the podium.

Demario Prince is the 2025 NACAC champion and 2026 National champion. His personal best is 13.01 sec, achieved in June at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene.
