Ertan Ozkan won the 60m gold at the Beograd Balkan Indoor Championships. The Turkish athlete won the sprint with 6.63 sec, beating his compatriot Mustafa Kemal Ay by only 0.02 sec. The bronze in the event was for Nikola Karamanolov (Bulgaria), who finished in 6.69 sec.

Another Bulgarian sprinter finished fourth – Hristo Iliev, who was just 0.03 sec slower than his compatriot. The Top 5 was completed by Aleksa Kijanovic (Serbia).

In women’s 60m, Maria Mihalache (Romania) triumphed with the Balkan title, clocking at the 7.31 sec. She defeated Lucija Potnik (Slovenia) by only 0.01 sec and Dimitra Toukala (Greece) by 0.02 sec.

In men’s 60m hurdles, Mikdat Sevler (Turkey) smashed the competition by winning the gold with 7.68 sec. Alin IonuÈ› Anton (Romania) remained second, clocking at 7.78 sec, while the bronze remained for another Turkish athlete – Ayetullah Demir.

In women’s 60m hurdles, Mia Wild (Croatia) won the gold with 8.06 sec, followed by Marija Bukvic (Serbia) and Nika Glojnaric (Slovenia).
