
Grant Holloway attacks third world title in China
World record holder in the 60m hurdles, Grant Holloway, has been named to the Team USA for the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China, from March 21-23. Grant Holloway is a two-time world champion in the 60m hurdles and will be looking for a third gold medal at the championships. The American athlete is also unbeaten in more than a decade.
Grant Holloway is a three-time world champion (2019 Doha, 2022 Eugene and 2023 Budapest), Paris 2024 Olympic gold medalist in the 110 m hurdles and the second-fastest man in history at the event with a personal best of 12.81 sec, set at the US Olympic Trials on June 26, 2021. In the 60m hurdles, Grant Holloway is the 2022 Belgrade and 2024 Glasgow World Indoor champion and the world indoor record holder with a time of 7.27 sec set at the 2024 USA Track & Field Indoor Championships.
The Team USA for Nanjing consists of 56 athletes. It also includes four other world indoor medalists from Glasgow 2024 – Alexis Holmes, Chase Jackson, Sam Kendricks and Monae’ Nichols.
Also relay medalists Chris Bailey, Quanera Hayes, Bailey Lear, Jacory Patterson and Matthew Boling will compete in China. Bailey is the fastest 400m man in the world this year with a best of 44.70 sec and will run the open 400m alongside Patterson. Hayes, Lear, and Boling are in the relay pools.
