Nadia Battocletti leads the Italian team for the European Running Championships in Brussels-Leuven

Olympic 10,000m silver medalist from Paris 2024 Games Nadia Battocletti will lead a strong Italian team for the European Running Championships in Brussels-Leuven on April 12 and 13.

Last year was a hugely successful one for Nadia Battocletti, who won the European 5,000m and 10,000m titles in Rome in front of her home crowd, then went on to earn silver at the Paris Olympics.

The half marathon team will also include Yohanes Chiappinelli, who broke the Italian marathon record of 2:05:24 hours. He was part of the Italian team that won the team title in the Rome half marathon, where he finished tenth in the individual race.

Italy’s team for the championships in Belgium will include 22 athletes.
