
Oleh Doroshchuk cleared 2.30m to win high jump gold at Lviv meeting
European high jump bronze medalist Oleh Doroshchuk cleared 2.30m to win at the National Competitions High Jump “Memorial Demianiuka” in Lviv, Ukraine. He grabbed the gold after clearing the season’s best in the event.
The silver went to Dmytro Nikitin with 2.21m, while the bronze went to Vadym Kravchuk with 2.18m.
Kyrylo Lutsenko and Nazar Borutskyy missed the podium after clearing 2.10m and 2.05m.
Oleh Doroshchuk the bronze medal at the 2024 European Athletics Championships. He is also Diamond League Final silver medalist in 2024, as well as European Athletics U23 and European U20 Championships silver medalist. His personal best is 2.31m.
Kateryna Tabashnyk won the women’s high jump event with a 1.91m. Anastasiia Volkova and Alevtyna Dubil remained with the silver and the bronze, respectively, after clearing 1.80m and 1.75m.
Kateryna Tabashnyk is a former European U20 champion, Ibero-American Championships winner, European Indoor Championships bronze medalist, and Top 8 at the European Championships. Her personal best is 1.99m.
In the U18 Events, Ivan Donii grabbed the men’s high jump gold with 2.00m, while Anastasiia Moskalenko grabbed the women’s high jump gold with 1.65m.
