
Polish heptathlete Adrianna Sulek-Schubert
Adrianna Sulek-Schubert is a Polish athlete specializing in combined events – heptathlon and pentathlon. She earned a silver medal in the pentathlon at the 2022 World Indoor Championships. Additionally, Adrianna Sulek-Schubert secured fourth place in the heptathlon at the 2022 World Championships and claimed a silver medal at the 2022 European Championships and 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships. She was also a bronze medalist in the heptathlon at the 2018 World Under-20 Championships and the champion of the 2021 European U23 Championships. Furthermore, Adrianna Sulek-Schubert has won nine individual national titles in Poland.
Born on April 3, 1999, in Bydgoszcz, Poland, Adrianna Sulek began her athletic journey at a young age, showcasing her talent early on. In 2013, she achieved a fourth-place finish in the long jump at an event in Slupsk, Poland. The following year, she earned her first official accolade by winning a bronze medal in the long jump at a competition in Grudziadz, establishing herself as one of Poland’s promising athletic talents.
In 2015, Adrianna Sulek transitioned to combined events, where she won gold in the Heptathlon Girls competition in Bydgoszcz and silver at the Polish U18 Championships in Lodz.
In 2016, Adrianna Sulek-Schubert secured the Heptathlon title at the Wroclaw Polish U18 Championships and earned a silver medal in the Pentathlon at the Spala Polish U18 Indoor Championships. She consistently improved her personal bests across all events. That same year, she competed in the European U18 Championships in Heptathlon, where she finished in 14th place. Additionally, she claimed the shot put title at the Torun Meeting and a silver medal in long jump at the Inowroclaw Meeting.
In 2017, Adrianna Sulek-Schubert triumphed at the Krakow Polish U20 Combined Events Championships in Heptathlon and at the Torun Polish U20 Indoor Championships in Pentathlon. She also earned a silver medal at the Praha CZE-FRA-GBR-ESP-POL U20 Combined Events Match and participated in the European U20 Championships in Heptathlon. Throughout the season, she achieved gold in the 100m event in Bydgoszcz and a silver in Ostroda. Furthermore, she won gold medals in both the 200m and 100m hurdles at the Torun Memorial Grzegorz Dunecki.
Adrianna Sulek-Schubert experienced a significant breakthrough in 2018, capturing a bronze medal in Heptathlon at the World U20 Championships. She also secured gold medals at the Suwalki Polish U20 Combined Events Championships in Heptathlon, as well as at the Madrid CZE-ESP-FRA-GBR-POL U20 Combined Events Match and the Torun Polish Indoor Championships in Pentathlon. During the season, she achieved titles at the Torun Polish U20 Indoor Championships and the Wloclawek Polish U20 Championships in long jump.
In 2019, Adrianna Sulek-Schubert competed in the European U23 Championships held in Gavle, Sweden, where she secured a 6th place finish in the Heptathlon. She claimed the championship title at the Polish Combined Events Championships and earned a silver medal at the England Athletics Senior Home Counties International in Heptathlon. Additionally, she achieved gold at the Polish Indoor Championships in Pentathlon.
In 2021, Adrianna Sulek-Schubert triumphed in the Heptathlon at the European U23 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. She also took part in the European Indoor Championships and represented her country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
In 2022, Adrianna Sulek-Schubert earned a silver medal at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade in Pentathlon and at the European Championships in Munich in Heptathlon. She finished in fourth place at the World Championships in Eugene in the Heptathlon event.
Adrianna Sulek-Schubert continue with her great international performance in 2023, winning the pentathlon silver at the Istanbul European Athletics Indoor Championships. Meanwhile, she triumphed with the national titles at the Torun Polish Indoor Championships in pentathlon and Warszawa Polish Combined Events Championships in heptathlon, as well as the heptathlon bronze at the Golden Label’s Hypomeeting in Gotzis, Austria.
In 2024, Adrianna Sulek-Schubert won the heptathlon gold at the 6. InterEuropol Mityng in Warszawa and 3rd Wieslaw Czapiewski Memorial in Notecia. She also competed at the Paris 2024 Olympics, finishing 12th in the heptathlon final.
Adrianna Sulek-Schubert started the 2025 season strongly by winning the silver at the Torun Combined Events Copernicus Cup.
