
Rai Benjamin and Marileidy Paulino confirmed participation at Paris Diamond League
Rai Benjamin (USA) and Marileidy Paulino (Dominican Republic) are the latest Olympic champions to confirm their participation in the eighth round of the Diamond League in Paris this Friday.
Rai Benjamin and Marileidy Paulino will be aiming for an impressive 400m performance when the Diamond League continues in the French capital this Friday.
Rai Benjamin will be hoping for a second consecutive Diamond League victory after beating rivals Karsten Warholm and Alison dos Santos in a world-leading time in 400m hurdles for the season of 46.54 sec in Stockholm on Sunday. This time, both fellow Olympic medallsts will not compete, but he will face Abderrahman Samba and Matheus Lima.
Marileidy Paulino will make her first appearance of the season in Paris, aiming to defend her Diamond League title for a fourth consecutive year in 2025.
The two single-lap specialists join a host of world stars in Paris, including Olympic champions Grant Holloway (110m hurdles) and Soufiane El Bakkali (3000m steeplechase) and world record holders Yaroslava Mahuchikh (high jump) and Tobi Amusan (100m hurdles).
Soufiane El Bakkali will compete in the 5,000m against Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha and Oslo Diamond League winner Nico Young.
