
Tsige Duguma won the 800m gold at the Meeting Metz Moselle Athlelor
World indoor 800m champion Tsige Duguma defeated the world silver medalist Jemma Reekie at the Meeting Metz Moselle Athlelor, part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour with a Silver Label. Ethiopian track and field athlete Tsige Duguma’s achievement of 1:58.97 min is the best result in the world this season. The British opponent Jemma Reekie finished second with 1:59.72 min.
The bronze went to Rachel Pellaud (France) with 2:02.19 min.
The Top 5 in the women’s 800m event were completed by Charlotte Pizzo (France) and Angelika Sarna (Poland), who narrowly missed the honors.
Slimane Moula (Algeria) won the men’s event, clocking at 1:45.11 min, ahead of Noah Kibet (Kenya) with 1:45.19 min. The bronze remained for Elliot Giles (Great Britain) with 1:45.89 min.
Meanwhile, in men’s 600m Yanis Meziane (France) won the gold with 1:15.09 min, ahead of Ivan Pelizza (Switzerland) and Noam Mamu (Israel), who won the silver and bronze, respectively.
Isaya Klein Ikkink (Netherlands) won the men’s 400m with 46.41 sec, while Yann Spillmann (France) finished second and Tony van Diepen (Netherlands) was third.
In women’s 400m event, Sharlene Mawdsley (Ireland) won the gold, clocking at 51.86 sec. The silver went to Louise Maraval (France) and the bronze was for Eveline Saalberg (Netherlands).
