World champions Grant Holloway, Gudaf Tsegay and Katie Moon will return to Liege on February 13 for the World Athletics Tour Indoor’s Gold Label event.

Grant Holloway has won the 60m hurdles in the French city for the past four years. The Olympic 110m champion also holds the event record of 7.32 sec as of 2021. He won again in 2022 and 2023, and last year broke the world indoor record of 7.27 sec.

The 2021 Liege event was also a happy one for Gudaf Tsegay, who set a world record in the 1,500m indoors. The Ethiopian took victory in 3:59.09 min. In 2022, Gudaf Tsegay won the mile running event, in 2023, triumphed at the 1,500m, and last year in the 3,000m. This time she will compete in the 3,000m event, where she hopes to break the world record of 8:16.60 min. She has come close twice before – in Birmingham in 2023 she achieved 8:16.69 min and last year in Lieven she recorded 8:17.11 min.

American pole vaulter Katie Moon will compete in Lieven for the fourth time in her career. The two-time world champion last competed in Lieven when she won in 2023 clearing a height of 4.83m.

European 400m champion Natalia Kaczmarek is another previous winner who will return to Lieven. She set a Polish national record in 2023 when she won in 50.90 sec.
