
Yaroslava Mahuchikh returns to the Paris Diamond League, where last year broke the high jump WR
Olympic, world and European high jump champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh has confirmed she will return to the track and field of her record-breaking feat, competing in the Diamond League in Paris on June 20.
The Ukrainian athletics superstar cleared 2.10m at the same event last year, breaking the previous record of 2.09m set by Bulgarian athlete Stefka Kostadinova in 1987. Yaroslava Mahuchikh also won gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
She has yet to compete on European soil this summer, but is undefeated so far with Diamond League victories in Xiamen and Shanghai, and also recorded successes in Doha and Tokyo.
Yaroslava Mahuchikh also secured the gold medals at the 2023 World Championships, and the 2022 World Indoor Championships. Additionally, she earned a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the 2025 World Indoor Championships, as well as silver medals at the 2019 and 2022 World Championships and the 2024 World Indoor Championships. She has also claimed the Diamond League title three times.
