Simon Ehammer: I want to jump 8.66m before Tentoglou
World long jump leader Simon Ehammer has a small dream that he shared with Andreas Trajkovski on his Instagram page Jumpers World.
“I have a small goal – I want to jump 8.66m before Tentoglou. I saw him jump in Rome 8.65m, 8.65m. He was so disappointed because that’s only 1 centimeter away from the Greek national record. He’s jumping at a very high level right now. He’ll write to me, maybe he’ll be a little angry. I’m sure one day he’ll break that record”, said Simon Ehammer in talk with Andreas Trajkovski.
The Swiss, who became world champion this winter with a world record in the heptathlon in Torun, leads the world long jump rankings for the season with 8.51m, while Miltiadis Tentoglou is second with 8.49m.
Simon Ehammer has a personal best in the long jump of 8.51m.
