Bahamas sends a team of 15 athletes for the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo

A total of 15 athletes will represent the Bahamas at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, this month – six with qualifying points, one through a continental title, five through world ranking points and three through invitations.
The six qualifying athletes are Devynne Charlton (100m hurdles), Anthaya Charlton (100m and long jump), Javonya Valcourt in the women’s 400m and Kaiwan Culmer in the men’s triple jump.
For the fourth consecutive world championships, the Bahamas will not be participating in the relays, but the 15-strong team is the country’s third largest in the last decade.
The World Athletics Championships in Tokyo will be held from September 13 to 21.
