Battle of the champions at the Karlsruhe meeting

Paris 2024 Olympic shot put champion Yemisi Ogunleye (Germany) will face two-time world champion Chase Jackson (USA) and world indoor champion Sarah Mitton (Canada). The star-studded event will take place at the Karlsruhe meeting on February 7. It is part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour with a “Gold Label”.

The three last met indoors at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow last year. Sarah Mitton won gold, Yemisi Ogunleye came second and Chase Jackson took third place.

Two-time world long jump champion Malaika Mihambo will also compete in Karlsruhe. The Tokyo 2021 Olympic champion will face her compatriot Mikaelle Assani, who finished fourth at the World Indoor Championships last year.

In the pole vault, European champion Angelica Moser will face the two-time European indoor silver medalist Tina Sutej and Olympic finalist Elisa Molinarolo.
