Athletics News . Hurdles News Article

The winner of the 2025 Diamond League, Cordell Tinch, also won the world title in the 110m hurdles. The American athlete left the planetary gold in the USA after winning the final run in Tokyo with 12.99 sec (-0.3 m/s). Two Jamaican hurdlers completed the podium.

Orlando Bennett recorded a personal best of 13.08 sec for the silver medal, while his compatriot Tyler Mason equaled his personal best and fought for the bronze with 13.12 sec.

One of Europe’s hopes for a place on the podium, Jason Joseph, made a mistake early in the run and said goodbye to his dreams for a world’s medal. The best finish by an athlete from Europe was recorded by Spain’s Enrique Llopis, who came fourth in 13.16 sec.

Rachid Muratake completed the Top 5 and finished in 13.18 sec.

The three-time world champion Grant Holloway was eliminated in the semifinals earlier today.
