
Diego Nappi won 200m gold at the Tampere European Athletics U20 Championships
The European U18 champion in the 200m from 2024 Banska Bystrica, Diego Nappi, won the gold in the Tampere European Athletics U20 Championships as well. The day before his 18th birthday, the Italian congratulated himself with the title of the championship, after finishing first in 20.77 sec (-2.9 m/sec).
The Portuguese Pedro Afonso remained with the silver medal with 20.85 sec, and the Spaniard Oriol Sanchez fought for the bronze with 21.03 sec.
The Top 5 were completed by Juho Venalainen (Finland) and Bakir Music (Bosnia and Herzegovina), who narrowly missed the honors.
In the women’s 200m, the German athletics talent Judith Bilepo Mokobe won the gold, clocking in 23.40 sec (-2.0 m/sec), and her runners-up were the British Lucy Tallon with 23.49 (.482) and the Czech Terezie Taborska with 23.49 sec (.486).
The Top 5 were completed by Precious Akpe-Moses (Ireland) and Silvie Daneckova (Czech Republic).
