
European long jump indoor champion Bozhidar Saraboyukov faces fierce competition at Rome Diamond League
The European indoor long jump champion from Apeldoorn this winter, Bozhidar Saraboyukov, will make his third start in the Diamond League in a few days. He will start in Rome on June 6. Bozhidar Saraboyukov will face a large number of the strongest competitors in the world, and this competition is also a prerequisite for excellent results in the sector.
Among the rivals of the Bulgaria athletics talent will be the two-time Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou (Greece), who holds all possible titles in the discipline, the world indoor champion from Nanjing this winter Mattia Furlani (Italy), the winner of silver world and European medals Thobias Montler (Sweden), the third from the planetary forum in Nanjing Liam Adcock (Australia), another winner of world honors Simon Ehammer (Switzerland), the bronze medalist from the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow 2024 Carey McLeod (Jamaica), the world indoor champion from Portland 2016 Marquis Dendy (USA), the third from the European Championships in Apeldoorn Lester Lescay (Spain) and the European U23 bronze medalist Simon Batz (Germany).
At his first career Diamond League events in April, Bozhidar Saraboyukov finished seventh in Xiamen with 7.94m and fourth in Shanghai with 8.09m. This will be the Bulgarian’s third start in the long jump this summer.
Earlier this month, Bozhidar Saraboyukov competed in the 200m at the New Stars tournament in Sofia, winning his heat with a time of 22.31 sec and finishing eighth in the final standings.
