Geraldine Di Tizio-Frey won the women’s 100m gold at the Swiss Championships in Zurich
Geraldine Di Tizio-Frey won the women’s 100m sprint at the Swiss Championships in Zurich, clocking 10.96 sec. The Swiss sprinter delivered a career‑best championship performance, winning her first national 100 m title and setting a European‑leading mark for the season.
The silver went to the defending champion Salome Kora, who finished strongly in 11.09 sec, but could not match Di Tizio‑Frey’s top‑end speed.
The bronze in women’s 100m went to Natacha Kouni with 11.15 sec, who also met the European qualifying standard earlier in the semifinals.
Fabienne Hoenke triumphed in women’s 200m, winning her first national outdoor title and triumphing in the same event during the winter. She clocked 22.66 sec.
The silver in the event went to Iris Caligiuri, clocking 23.33 sec, while the bronze was for Soraya Becerra with 23.46 sec.
In women’s 400m at the Swiss Championships in Zurich, the gold was for Melanie Roland, who clocked 52.56 sec. The silver was for Karin Disch, while the bronze was for Florence Nri.
