Hakon Moe Berg with double 1,500m and 3,000m gold at Tampere European Athletics U20 Championships

Norwegian athletics talent Hakon Moe Berg made double to win the 1,500m and 3,000m gold at the Tampere European Athletics U20 Championships.

The 19-year-old Norwegian athlete clocked 3:47.36 min to win the title in men’s 1,500m event, ahead of his compatriot Andreas Dybdahl with 3:47.95 min and the Belgian track and field athlete Elliot Vermeulen. The Top 5 in the event were completed by Alois Abraham (France) and Aldin Catovic (Serbia).

Hakon Moe Berg also triumphed also in men’s 3,000m, clocking at 8:43.20 min. He was far ahead of the Kristers Kudlis (Latvia), who finished in 8:45.56 min to win the silver. The bronze went to Karl Ottfalk (Sweden), who finished in 8:46.43 min.

In men’s 5,000m, the Belgium athlete Willem Renders won the gold, followed by Karl Ottfalk and Magnus Oyen (Norway).
