Jakob Ingebrigtsen returns to the arena of his 1,500m world record

Norwegian long-distance runner Jakob Ingebrigtsen will return to the stage with his world record in the 1,500m indoors. He will start in Lege, France, on February 13. The 24-year-old Ingebrigtsen set his indoor 1,500m world record of 3:30.60 min in 2022. The Norwegian is also the outdoor world record holder in the 2,000m and 3,000m, and holds the world record in the two-mile.
Outdoors, the world and Olympic 5,000m champion set a European one-mile record of 3:43.73 min, which places him third in the all-time world rankings.
He has three wins in Liege. He won the 1,500m in 2021 and 2023, as well as in 2022, when he set the world record.
American star in the men’s pole vault Sam Kendricks will also participate in Lieven.
