Karsten Warholm and Femke Bol won 400m hurdles Diamond Trophies with new meeting records

Men’s 400m hurdles world record holder Karsten Warholm and women’s European record holder Femke Bol were unstoppable on their way to the 2025 Diamond Trophies.
Karsten Warholm won the men’s 400m hurdles in Zurich with a new meeting record of 46.70 sec. He bettered his own race record of 46.92 sec from 2019. Qatari’s Abderrahman Samba took second place in 47.45 sec, while Nigeria’s Ezekiel Nathaniel came in third in 47.56 sec.
In the women’s event, Femke Bol also won with a new meeting record of 52.18 sec. She also improved her own race record of 52.80 sec from 2021.
Emma Zapletalova (Slovakia) set a new Slovak national record of 53.18 sec for second place. Jamaica’s Andrenette Knight finished third in 53.76 sec.
