Athletics News . High Jump News Article

Paris 2024 Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo and high jump world record holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh will get an early start to the summer season. They have both confirmed their participation in the Diamond League in Xiamen, China, on April 26.

Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh, who last year broke Stefka Kostadinova’s world record with 2.10m, won the Diamond Trophy in 2024. She also became European champion in Rome last year.

Letsile Tebogo won Olympic gold in the 200m in Paris, as well as silver with Botswana’s 4x400m relay team. He also achieved four Diamond victories in 2024, but failed to win the Diamond Trophy.

Letsile Tebogo was defeated by American sprinter Kenny Bednarek in the final tournament of the circuit in Brussels.
