Lieke Klaver and Nadine Visser will compete in Metz

Two of the Netherlands’ athletics stars, Lieke Klaver and Nadine Visser, will compete at the World Athletics Tour Indoor Silver Label’s meeting in Metz on February 8.

Lieke Klaver is expected to compete in the 200m and 400m. The world and European indoor 400m silver medalist will face the European 4x400m medley champion Sharlene Mawdsley of Ireland, two-time Olympic relay medalist Laviai Nielsen and European 400m silver medalist Louise Maraval.

In 200m, Lieke Klaver will face Australian athletics talent Torrie Lewis.

Nadine Visser holds the Metz 60m record from last year – 7.80 sec. The Dutchwoman’s personal best is 7.77 sec from the 2021 Torun European Indoor Championships, when she won her second European title.
