Luxembourg sprinter Patrizia Van der Weken leads 60m season rankings after two records

The favorite of the home team from Luxembourg, Patrizia Van der Weken, did not disappoint her fans and won the 60-meter sprint in front of the fans. She also did it with a national indoor record of 7.07 sec.

In the heats, Patrizia Van der Weken won with a time of 7.18 sec, and in the final she corrected her own top achievement for Luxembourg with a victory of 7.07 sec. This is both a new record of the tournament, as well as the best result in the world for the season.

Thus, the sprinter from Luxembourg has applied for a medal at the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn (Netherlands) from March 6 to 9.

Patrizia Van der Weken set another national record for the evening. She achieved 23.17 sec in the 200m. This discipline was won by the German Jessica-Bianca Wessolly with a time of 22.84 sec.
