
Mattia Furlani triumphed in the long jump at the Czech Indoor Gala 2025 meeting
The Paris 2024 Olympics bronze medalist Mattia Furlani (Italy) triumphed in the long jump at the Czech Indoor Gala 2025 meeting. The Italian athlete won the gold with 8.23m not giving a chance to his opponents and equalized the world’s best result for the season.
Mattia Furlani started the competition with three faults, but succeeded to jump 8.00m in the third attempt and the winning 8.23m in his fifth attempt. The Italian filed on his last attempt but at the end recorded the victory.
Bozhidar Saraboyukov continues his impressive performance in the long jump since the beginning of the year and earned the silver. The 20-year-old Bulgarian finished second with a jump of 8.12m. He achieved this result in his last attempt. In his other two successful attempts today, Bozhidar Saraboyukov achieved 7.92m and 8.00m.
The other leader in the world rankings for the season, Thobias Montler (Sweden), remained third with 8.01m.
The Top 5 was completed by Gerson Balde (Portugal) and Radek Juska (Czech Republic) with 7.90m and 7.89m, respectively.
