Miltiadis Tentoglou is the star at the Dromia Sprint and Relays Meeting
Miltiadis Tentoglou returns to his native Greece for the Dromia Sprint and Relays Meeting on June 13. He will be looking to build on his strong season so far with this event.
The two-time Olympic champion achieved a season-best 8.49m in Cyprus in late May, which currently places him second in the world rankings. But he will be aiming to reclaim the top spot. A few days ago, he finished second to Bozhidar Saraboyukov at the Diamond League in Rome. The two will start in separate meetings this Saturday, and next week they will clash again at the Balkan Championships in Volos.
Last year, Miltiadis Tentoglou won the competition at home with a result of 8.19m and will certainly want to impress the local fans again before trying to defend his European title for the fourth time in a row later this summer in Birmingham.
In the men’s 100m sprint, Kenyan Ferdinand Omanyala is expected to achieve a convincing victory against the 24-year-old favorite of the home team, Lampros Volikas, whose best result of the season is 10.58 sec.
