
Natalia Bukowiecka faces strong competition at Oslo Diamond League
Olympic bronze medallist Natalia Bukowiecka will lead a star-studded women’s 400m line-up at the Diamond League in Oslo on June 12.
The European champion and Olympic bronze medallist will face a classy competitors at the Bislett Games in Oslo. The field includes six of the world’s top 10 and five of the eight finalists from the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The Polish star is hoping to claim her first Diamond League win of 2025 after opening her campaign with a strong second-place finish and a season-best time of 50.92 seconds in Doha last month.
Natalia Bukowiecka will be looking to replicate her form from last year at the Bislett Games, where she finished second in 49.80 sec. She will be the favourite this year, but she will still face some stiff competition.
Ireland’s Rhasidat Adeleke is world number four and finished fourth in last year’s Olympic final. Great Britain’s Amber Anning is the reigning world indoor champion and finished fifth in Paris. Dutch star Lieke Klaver won bronze at last year’s European Championships in Rome and is currently ranked seventh in the world.
They will be joined by some of the most exciting rising stars in the sport, including Isabella Whittaker of the United States, Norway’s Henriette Jæger and Lurdes Gloria Manuel of the Czech Republic.
