
Noah Lyles defeated Letsile Tebogo to win the 200m Diamond Trophy
Paris 2024 Olympic champions in the 100m and 200m Noah Lyles and Letsile Tebogo put on a real fight for the Diamond Trophy in 200m. At the end the American sprinter Noah Lyles won the race in 19.74 sec (-0.6 m/sec). Letsile Tebogo this time came in second with 19.76 sec, and third place went to Alexander Ogando with 20.14 sec.
In the women’s 200 meters, the Diamond Trophy also went to an American. Brittany Brown won it in 22.13 sec (-0.4 m/sec). Dina Asher-Smith finished second in 22.18 sec, and Marie Josee Ta Lou-Smith completed the podium with 22.25 sec.
Julien Alfred was unstoppable in women’s 100m sprint and triumphed with her second consecutive Diamond Trophy. The silver in the event was for Tia Clayton and the bronze went to Marie Josee Ta Lou-Smith.
In men’s 100m, the world champion Christian Coleman (USA) won his third Diamond Trophy, beating Akani Simbine (South Africa) and Ackeem Blake (Jamaica).
