Pia Skrzyszowska ran a season’s best to win the 100m hurdles title at the Bydgoszcz Polish Championships

Pia Skrzyszowska ran a season’s best of 12.59 sec to win the 100m hurdles title at the Polish Championships in Bydgoszcz, beating recently crowned European U23 champion Alicja Sielska, who finished in 12.93 sec.

Klaudia Wojtunik finished third, clocking 12.98 sec. The Top 5 were completed by Kaja Wesolowska and Monika Kiepura, who narrowly missed the podium.

Polish hammer throw legends Pawel Fajdek and Anita Wlodarczyk added another national title to their collections, winning with 79.07m and 70.66m, respectively.

Dawid Pilat and Marcin Wrotynski completed the podium in men’s events, while Katarzyna Furmanek and Ewa Rozanska were medalists in the women’s event.

European 400m champion and Olympic bronze medalist Natalia Bukowiecka took the shorter distance and won the 200m title in 23.20 sec, leaving the way clear for 2018 European champion Justyna Swiety-Ersetic to win the 400m in 52.67 sec.

In men’s 100m, Dominik Kopec triumphed with the gold, clocking at 10.29 sec, while Oliwer Wdowik and Jakub Lempach, completed the podium.
