Ramon Wipfli defended his 800m title at the Swiss Championships in Zurich, clocking 1:49.34 min.

Ramon Wipfli delivered one of the most composed and convincing middle‑distance performances at the Swiss Championships, reinforcing his status as Switzerland’s leading 800 m specialist and one of Europe’s fastest‑improving young athletes. Thus, he won his fourth consecutive national title.

Ramon Wipfli entered the championships in exceptional form, having recently broken the Swiss U23 record with 1:44.71 min at the Meeting Nikaïa in Nice, a performance that also secured the European Championship qualifying standard. This background made him the clear favorite, and he lived up to expectations.

Ivan Pelizza finished second in men’s 800m with a time of 1:49.70 min, while Robin Oester was third with 1:49.73 min.

Eric Huanca Quispe won the men’s 1,500m event, clocking 3:55.63 min. Wondimu Bussy finished second, while Elia Triaca was third.

In men’s 5,000m event at the Swiss Championships in Zurich, the gold was for Aarno Liebl, followed Nino Freitag and Jonas Raess.
