Nigerian sprinter Rosemary Chukwuma continued her strong form with a time of 10.90 sec (+3.7 m/s) to finish second in the women’s 100m at the Ed Murphey Classic in Memphis, Tennessee.

Although the feat was aided by a strong tailwind, Rosemary Chukwuma’s time was one of her fastest in all conditions this year and adds to her excellent 2025 season.
The 23-year-old Nigerian athlete has already secured a spot at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, together with Favour Ofili and Tima Godbless, forming an impressive Nigerian sprinting line-up.
Rosemary Chukwuma earned bronze in the 4x100m relay at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and gold in the 4x100m relay in the 2019 African Games. In 2018, she earned a gold medal in the 100m at the Summer Youth Olympics by clocking 11.17 sec.
