
Sasha Zhoya postponed the indoor season opener
French hurdles star Sasha Zhoya shared on Instagram that he has had to withdraw from his first scheduled race of the season.
“Current circumstances have left me no choice but to pull out of some upcoming indoor competitions, I won’t be racing this weekend at Bercy Meeting in Paris. My priorities are clear to my team and I. and staying healthy is the priority this year. Apologies to those waiting to see me perform indoors… I won’t make you wait much longer”, wrote Sasha Zhoya in his social media account.
However, he believes that will return on the track and field before the end of the indoor season, although it is unclear if he can compete on the coming big international forums.

Sasha Zhoya is an Australian-born French athlete who represents France in international track and field competition, specialized in hurdling events. Born in Australia, and of French and Zimbabwean descent, he represents France internationally. He is the current holder of two world under-18 best performances (110 m hurdles, 60 m hurdles) and two world U20 records (60 m hurdles, 110 m hurdles).
