Yaroslava Mahuchikh opens the summer season with two Diamond League meetings in China

The reigning Diamond League high jump champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh has confirmed her participation in both meetings of the circuit in China for 2025. Thus, the Olympic champion and world record holder will start first in Xiamen on April 26, and then continue on Chinese soil in Queqiao on May 3.

So far, two other big stars of world athletics have also confirmed their participation in these two tournaments – Armand Duplantis and Karsten Warholm.

The 23-year-old Yaroslava Mahuchikh will pursue her fourth consecutive Diamond Trophy in 2025. The Ukrainian has won all the awards in the circuit from 2022 to the present.

The Diamond League in Paris last summer turned out to be a very special competition for Yaroslava Mahuchikh. It was there that the Ukrainian improved by one centimeter the world record of Stefka Kostadinova of 2.09m, which had been at the top of the world rankings since 1987. Since then, Yaroslava Mahuchikh holds the world record of 2.10m.
