
Yaroslava Mahuchikh prepares for the summer season in Portugal
The European indoor high jump champion from Apeldoorn 2025 and bronze medalist at the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, has once again chosen Portugal for her summer season preparation.
The Olympic champion and world record holder in the event posted photos from Portugal on her Instagram account. For her, the summer season will start very soon, as she will start at the first Diamond League tournaments in China in late April and early May.
Yaroslava Mahuchikh has a season’s best of 2.01m achieved in February at the 31st Banskobystricka latka, where she earned the gold. Earlier, she won the gold at the Udin Jump Development, as a preparation for the Europe and World Indoor championships.
Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the high jump gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics, as well as at the 2023 World Championships and the 2022 World Indoor Championships. Additionally, she earned a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the 2025 World Indoor Championships, along with silver medals at the 2019 and 2022 World Championships and the 2024 World Indoor Championships. She has also secured the Diamond League title three times.
During the 2024 Paris Diamond League, Yaroslava Mahuchikh set a new world record in the event with an impressive jump of 2.10m.
