Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the high jump gold at Rabat Diamond League

Yaroslava Mahuchikh grabbed another high jump Diamond League gold at the Meeting International Mohammed VI d’Athletisme de Rabat. The Ukrainian athlete, who is the world record holder in the event, won the competition with 1.97m. She cleared the height from her second attempt. After guarantee the gold, she made two mistakes at 2.00m and one at 2.02m.

The second at Rabat Diamond League remained Eleanor Patterson (Australia) with 1.94m and the bronze went to Serbian athletics talent Angelina Topic, who also cleared 1.94m.

Yuliia Levchenko, who earlier won the gold at the Wanda Diamond League Xiamen, inished fourth with 1.91m. The Top 5 was completed by Lamara Distin (Jamaica).

Yaroslava Mahuchikh has a season’s best of 2.03m, achieved at the National Competitions High Jump “Memorial Demianiuka” in Lviv, Ukraine in January. After that she cleared 2.01 m at the Torun World Athletics Indoor Championships, winning her second world indoor title.
