Yasser Mohammed Triki won the men’s triple jump gold at the 62° Palio Città della Quercia in Rovereto
Yasser Mohammed Triki delivered a commanding performance in the men’s triple jump at the 62° Palio Città della Quercia in Rovereto, held on September 8, securing victory with a best effort of 17.30m. His jump stood out not only for its distance but also for the consistency he displayed throughout the competition, reaffirming his status as one of the most reliable performers on the European late‑season circuit.
Finishing second was Andy Díaz Hernández, who reached 17.00m. The Italian athlete, known for his explosive phases and ability to produce big jumps under pressure, showed flashes of his top form but ultimately could not match Triki’s winning mark. Still, his 17‑metre effort demonstrated solid technical execution and kept him comfortably ahead of the rest of the field.
Italy’s Andrea Dallavalle completed the podium with 16.44m, a result that reflects both his resilience and his ongoing effort to regain peak condition after a season marked by fluctuations. Dallavalle’s series lacked the big jump he often produces, but his placement among the top three confirms his competitive stability at major European meetings.
Just outside the podium was Ibrokhim Mahkamov, who recorded 16.36m. The Uzbek jumper showed promising rhythm and control, particularly in his approach, but was unable to convert his phases into a jump that would challenge Dallavalle for third place. His fourth‑place finish, however, highlights his growing presence on the international stage.
Rounding out the top five was Yoann Awhansou, who reached 16.24m. The French athlete displayed good energy on the runway and maintained composure throughout the competition, securing a respectable finish in a field featuring several established names.
