Isabella Guthrie is Australian track and field athlete, specializing in hurdles, but also competed in short distance running and relays. She competed at the Cali World Athletics U20 Championships, finishing 6th in 4x400m relay.
Isabella Guthrie, also known as Bella Guthrie, was born on September 21, 2003, in Sydney, Australia.. She started in athletics from an early age and showed great skills and talent in sprints and hurdles.
Bella Guthrie started her competitive career in 2016, taking part at the Sydney NSW U14 All Schools, Sydney Treloar Shield and Sydney NSW All-comers Series in 100m, 200m, and 400m. On the next season, she won her first honor, winning the 400m hurdles bronze at the Sydney Treloar Shield.
In 2018, Isabella Guthrie made her debut at junior national championships, winning the 400m hurdles silver at the Sydney Australian U17 Championships. She also competed in 400m at the Sydney Australian U16 Championship, but remained only 5th in the final. She won the 400m hurdles gold and 400m silver at the Sydney NSW All Schools Championships, as well as 400m hurdles silver at the Sydney Treloar Shield.
Bella Guthrie started the 2019 season at the Campbelltown Night Of Sprints in Sydney in 400m. She competed at the Bankstown All-comers and Illawong All-comers in Sydney, winning the bronze in 400m hurdles. During the season she made her national championships debut and earned her first honor, winning the 4x400m relays silver at the Sydney Australian Championships. Isabella Guthrie won the 400m and 400m hurdles silver at the NSW High School Championships, as well as 400m hurdles at the Treloar Shield 3 in Sydney. She ended the season by winning the 400m hurdles bronze at the Treloar Shield 5 in Sydney.
Isabella Guthrie started the 2020 season by winning the 400m hurdles bronze at the Illawarra Track Challenge in Wollongong. At the Canberra AACT U18 Championships she won the silver, while at the Sydney NSW U20 Championships triumphed with the gold, both in 400m hurdles. Bella Guthrie continue gaining experience in 400m hurdles, winning the silver at the Nepean Interclub in Sydney, bronze at the Uni Interclub + NSW 3000m Championships and gold at the Sydney NSW All-Schools Championships.
In 2021, Isabella Guthrie started the season by winning the 400m hurdles gold at the Tumbi Umbi Mingara Interclub. She continue performing strongly in the event and won the gold at the NSW U20 Championships and Sydney Australian U20 Championship, as well as the bronze at the Sydney NSW Open Championships. Meanwhile, she won the 400m bronze at the Bankstown Invitational.
In 2022, Bella Guthrie won the 400m hurdles gold at the Canberra Bill Jacobs Shield, Sydney NSW Milers Series #2, and Sydney Australian U20 Championships, as well as the silver at the Sydney Track Classic, Melbourne Track Classic, Canberra AACT Championships, Gold Coast Invitational and Sydney NSW State Championships. At the Sydney Australian Championships, she won her second senior national honor by winning the bronze in 400m hurdles. Bella Guthrie was in perfect form to win the 400m hurdles bronze at the Mackay Oceania Athletics Championships, as well as 400m hurdles bronze and 4x400m relay gold at the Mackay Oceania U20 Championships. She also was part of the Australian team to compete at Cali World Athletics U20 Championships, finishing 6th in the 4x400m relay final.
Isabella Guthrie started 2023 season by winning the 400m hurdles gold at the Campbelltown High Velocity, as well as the bronze at the NSW Open Track & Field Championships. At the Brisbane Track Classic and Brisbane Australian Championships she finished 4th, while at the UniSport Nationals Athletics won the bronze. She ended the season by winning the 400m hurdles bronze at the Honiara Pacific Games.
In 2024, Isabella Guthrie won the 400m hurdles gold at the Auckland Sir Graeme Douglas Memorial Track Classic, and Gold Coast UniSport Nationals Athletics, the silver at the Sydney NSW Championships and Suva Oceania Invitational, as well as the bronze at the Canberra Track Classic, Adelaide Australian Championships and Albie Thomas Mile. At the Suva Oceania Athletics Championships, she won the bronze in 400m hurdles.
Isabella Guthrie continue performing strongly in 2025, as she started the season by 400m hurdles gold at the Canberra Capital Athletics Open & U20 Championships. She continue by another honor at prestigious Auckland Sir Graeme Douglas International, where won the bronze. She finished 4th at the Sydney Track Classic, while at the Sydney NSW Championships, won the 400m hurdles silver.
