
Lithuanian triple jumper Dovile Kilty
Dovile Kilty is a distinguished Lithuanian track and field athlete, specializing in both the long jump and triple jump disciplines. Demonstrating remarkable skill and dedication, she established her personal best in the triple jump with a distance of 14.17 meters, a mark that also served as the national record for Lithuania. This impressive achievement was set during the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics. Additionally, her personal best in the long jump stands at 6.08 meters, attained at the 2012 Siauliai City Championship.
Born on July 14, 1993, in Siauliai, Lithuania, Dovile Kilty began her engagement with athletics at a young age. She actively participated in numerous youth competitions, showcasing her talent and commitment early on. Representing her country with honor, she competed for Lithuania at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore, marking a significant milestone in her early athletic career.
Throughout her sporting journey, Dovile Kilty has secured several national championship titles and consistently demonstrated excellence on the track. Her achievements at the national level affirm her status as one of Lithuania’s premier athletes.
On the international stage, Dovile Kilty’s accomplishments are equally impressive. She was crowned champion in the triple jump at the 2015 European U23 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, with a remarkable leap of 14.23m. Furthermore, she earned a silver medal at the 2012 World Junior Championships held in Barcelona, Spain, with her distinguished jump of 14.17m.
Through her achievements and commitment to her sport, Dovile Kilty has made significant contributions to Lithuanian athletics, earning recognition both nationally and internationally for her exceptional performances.
Dovile Kilty also represented her country at several prestigious international events, including the 2017 World Championships held in London, United Kingdom; the 2018 World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom; and the 2019 World Championships in Doha, Qatar. Although she demonstrated determination and skill throughout these competitions, she did not succeed in securing a medal at any of these events. Nonetheless, her consistent participation at the highest level of competition highlights her commitment and dedication to her sport.
In 2020, Dovile Kilty won the triple jump bronze at the 15. International PSD Bank Meeting in Desseldorf with 14.06m and the silver at the Meeting Metz Moselle Athlelor, before triumphing with the national title at the Klaipeda Lithuanian Indoor Championships. During the outdoor season, she won the title at the Palanga Lithuanian Championships, the bronze at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku and finished 4th at the prestigious Herculis Meeting in Monaco, although her event not being part of the Diamond League events.
Dovile Kilty made her official Diamond League debut in 2021, finishing 7th at the Muller Grand Prix Gateshead. After that she won the bronze at the European Athletics Team Championships Second League in Stara Zagora and triumphed with the gold at the Palanga Lithuanian Championships and SK Cosma Summer Cup in Vilnus.
Dovile Kilty started the 2022 season with another national title at the Klaipeda Lithuanian Indoor Championships and won the prestigious gold medal at the PURE Athletics Spring Invitational in Clermont, Florida. She finished 4th at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix and won the gold at the LAF Open Cup Competition in Palanga. Dovile Kilty triumphed with the title at the Siauliai Lithuanian Championships and Valmiera Baltic Team Championships, won the gold at the Resisprint International in La Chaux-de-Fonds and the silver at the Folksam GP Soderhamn. She competed at the Munich European Athletics Championships, finishing 12th in the final.
In 2023, Dovile Kilty won the triple jump silver medals at the Manchester World Indoor Tour and Klaipeda Lithuanian Indoor Championships, while at the Istanbul European Athletics Indoor Championships finished 6th in the final. She won the bronze at the 12th International Meeting “Citta’ Di Savona”, LAF Open Cup Competition in Kaunas, and Reunion Internacional de Atletismo Villa De Bilbao, as well as the silver at the Resisprint International in La Chaux-de-Fonds and Palanga Lithuanian Championships. Dovile Kilty was part of the Lithuanian team for the Budapest World Athletics Championships, but did not overcome the qualifications with 13.87m. She finished the season with the bronze at the 59. Palio Citta’ della Quercia and competed at the Brussels Diamond League, but finished 7th.
Dovile Kilty made her Olympics debut in 2024, being part of the Lithuanian team of the Paris Games. Although finishing 12th in the qualifications, she proved to be one of the world’s top triple jumpers. Meanwhile, during the season, she won the national titles at the Panevezys Lithuanian Indoor Championships and Palanga Lithuanian Championships, as well as the silver at the Breuninger Hallenmeeting Erfurt Indoor, UAE Athletics Grand Prix, and GRAND SLAM Jerusalem. She also competed at the Roma European Athletics Championships, but again did not reach the final.
In 2025, Dovile Kilty finished 4th in the triple jump’s final of the Apeldoorn European Athletics Indoor Championships. She won the national titles at the Panevezys Lithuanian Indoor Championships and the Palanga Lithuanian Championships, as well as the silver at the Meeting Internacional C.D Meliz Sport. Meanwhile, she finished 4th at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston, 9th at the Doha Diamond League, and 6th at the Seiko Golden Grand Prix 2025 Tokyo. She will also represents Lithuania at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
