Paola Borovic is a great Croatian athlete who excels in both the long jump and the triple jump. Paola Borovic competitive career started in 2010 when she made her mark by winning the gold medal in long jump at the Varazdin Croatian U18 Championships, as well as at the Maribor SLO-CRO-HUN U16 Match. Additionally, she earned a bronze medal at the Pordenone Alp-Adria Meeting, further establishing her reputation as a formidable competitor. Her early achievements reflect her potential and determination to succeed in athletics.
In 2011, Paola Borovic gained her first major international experience. At the Lille IAAF World Youth Championships, she placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.82m, but failed to record a valid attempt in the long jump qualification. Later that year, she finished ninth in the triple jump at the Trabzon 11th European Youth Olympic Festival, jumping 12.24m. Domestically, Borovic won silver in the long jump at the Zagreb Croatian Championships and bronze in both the long jump and triple jump at the Rijeka Croatian Indoor Championships.
The following year, 2012, Borovic dominated the Croatian junior circuit. She struck gold in the long jump at the Zagreb Croatian U18 Indoor Championships, as well as the triple jump at several events – the Zagreb Croatian U18 Indoor Championships, Zagreb Croatian Junior Indoor Championships, Zagreb Croatian U23 Championships, and Zagreb Croatian Junior Championships. Borovic also claimed silver in the long jump at the Zagreb Croatian Junior Indoor Championships. Internationally, she won bronze in the triple jump at the Rijeka Croatian Indoor Championships, and silver at the Beograd Balkan Youth Championships and Zagreb Dinamo Meeting.
In 2013, Paola Borovic participated in the triple jump at the Rieti European Junior Championships but did not advance to the finals. She secured a silver medal at both the Zagreb Croatian Championships and the Rijeka Croatian Indoor Championships, along with a gold medal at the Praha CZE-CRO-SLO-HUN Junior Match.
In 2014, Paola Borovic participated in the Riga European Athletics Team Championships Second League, achieving 6th place in the long jump and 5th place in the triple jump. She also participated in the Eugene IAAF World Junior Championships, but did not qualify for the finals in either the long jump or the triple jump.
In 2015, Paola Borovic placed 4th in both the long jump and triple jump at the Stara Zagora European Athletics Team Championships Second League and also participated in the Tallinn European U23 Championships, finishing 9th in the triple jump. She competed in the Pitesti Balkan Championships but finished 7th in the triple jump.
Paola Borovic continued her international competition in 2016 by participating in the Zagreb IAAF World Challenge, where she placed 7th in the long jump. She also participated in the Pitesti Balkan Championships, finishing 4th in both the triple jump and the long jump.
In 2017, Paola Borovic represented the Croatian team at the Bydgoszcz European U23 Championships, achieving a 10th-place finish in the triple jump. She also participated in the Zagreb IAAF World Challenge but finished 8th in the triple jump. During the season, she secured a bronze medal in the triple jump and a silver medal in the long jump at the Slovenska Bistrica International Meeting.
Paola Borovic earned bronze medals in the triple jump at the 2018 Stara Zagora Balkan Championships and Istanbul Balkan Indoor Championships. She maintained her indoor success the following season, winning bronze at the Istanbul Balkan Indoor Championships and silver in 2020.
Paola Borovic made her Diamond League debut in 2022, participating in the triple jump at the Ooredoo Doha Meeting, but finishing eighth. She also participated in the Munich European Athletics Championships, but did not get to the finals. During the season, she earned bronze at the Boysen Memorial in Oslo.
Paola Borovic continued to dominate the long jump and triple jump in 2023, capturing gold medals in both events at the Karlovac Croatian Championships. She competed in the Istanbul European Athletics Indoor Championships but did not make the finals. Meanwhile, she won bronze medals in the long jump and triple jump at the Meeting Sport e Solidarieta Lignano and the Meeting Jaen Paraiso Interior, respectively, and silver in the triple jump at the Hungarian GP Series.
In 2024, Paola Borovic continue dominating the local competitions, winning the long jump gold and triple jump bronze at the Zagreb Croatian Indoor Championships. Moreover, she also won the triple jump bronze at the Triple Match CRO-SLO-SRB in Beograd and also competed at the Balkan Indoor Championships in Istanbul and UAE Athletics Grand Prix in Dubai.
