
Dutch athlete Demi van den Wildenberg
Demi van den Wildenberg is Dutch track and field athlete, who competes in sprints and relays. She is a European U20 Championships silver medalist in 4x100m relay.
Demi van den Wildenberg was born on February 29, 2000. She started in athletics at an early age and showed her great skills and talent in sprints and running.
Demi van den Wildenberg made her competitive athletics debut in 2016, competing at the Apeldoorn Dutch U18 Indoor Championships. She overcome the heats and semiifinals to finish 6th in the 60m final. She competed also at the Sittard Dutch Club Championships to finish 4th in the 4x100m relay, as well as Breda Dutch U18 Championships in 100m to finish 4th in the final. Demi van den Wildenberg finished the season by winning the 60m gold at the Dusseldorf Advent-Indoor-Meeting.
In 2017, she made her debut at the senior national championship, to finish 6th in 60m at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships. At the junior level, she won the 60m bronze at the Apeldoorn Dutch U20/U18 Indoor Championships and 4x100m relay silver at the Den Haag Dutch Club Championships, as well as 100m bronze at the Vught Dutch U20/U18 Championships. Demi van den Wildenberg won the gold at the Tilburg T-Meeting in 4x100m relay and made her international debut at big forum, competing at the Grosseto European U20 Championships to finish 8th in 4x100m relay, but individually in 100m did not overcome semi-finals. By the end of the season, she won the 100m bronze at the Amsterdam Dutch Club Championships and 60m gold at the Dusseldorf Advent-Indoor-Meeting.
Demi van den Wildenberg started the 2018 season strongly by winning the 60m gold at the Apeldoorn Dutch U20 Indoor Championships, but at senior level did not reach the final in 60m at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships. She dominated in 100m at the Emmeloord Dutch U20 Championships, winning the gold, but also won the silver at the Eindhoven Kamerbeek Gala.
The season 2019 was the most successful in Demi van den Wildenberg’s career. She won the 4x100m relay silver at the Boras European U20 Championships. Individually she reached the semi-finals in 100m, but did not qualify for the finals. Meanwhile, during the season, she won the 60m silver at the Apeldoorn Dutch U20 Indoor Championships and 100m gold at the Alphen aan den Rijn Dutch U20 Championships.
In 2020, Demi van den Wildenberg won the 60m silver at the 12e AV PEC 1910 Indoor in Apeldoorn, but also competed at the ISTAF Indoor in Berlin and Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships without winning a honor.
In 2021, she finished 4th in 60m at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships and 7th in 100m at the Breda Dutch Championships. Demi van den Wildenberg also competed at the Gouden Spike in Leiden, finishing 4th in 100m. During the season, she won the 100m gold at the T-Meeting in Tilburg and 100m silver at the Runnersworld Utrecht Trackmeeting.
Demi van den Wildenberg started the 2022 by winning the 60m gold at the VS indoor in Gent and finishing 7th at the INIT Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe. During the season she won her first national honor, winning the 60m silver at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships, before debuting at the Birmingham Diamond League in 4x100m relay, but unfortunately did not reached the honors.
In 2023, Demi van den Wildenberg won another senior national honor, winning the 60m bronze at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships. She also won the 60m bronze at the Meeting Internacional Catalunya Pista Coberta, 100m silver at the Meeting International d’Athletisme de la Province de Liege, as well as 60m gold at the Navarra Indoor Athletics in Pamplona. During the season, she finished 4th at the IFAM Gent Indoor in 60m, as well as 4th at the T-Meeting in Tilburg and 4th at the FBK Games in Hengelo, both in 100m, narrowly missing the honors.
In 2024, Demi van den Wildenberg started the athletics season by finishing 5th at the Sparkassen Indoor Meeting Dortmund and 4th at the IFAM Gent Indoor, both in 60m. At the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships, she narrowly missed the honors, finishing 4th in 60m. Demi van den Wildenberg won the 100m bronze at the T-Meeting in Tilburg and 100m gold at the Eindhoven NSK Baan 2024. At the AtH Trackmeeting Eindhoven, she won the 100m gold and 200m silver.
Demi van den Wildenberg started the 2025 athletics season strongly by winning the 60m silver at the Meeting Internacional de Catalunya and finished 5th in 60m at the Sparkassen Indoor Meeting Dortmund. She won the 60m silver at the Apeldoorn 15e AV PEC 1910 Indoor and competed at the prestigious Belgrade Indoor Meeting, but did not reach the finals.
